Space Heaters are a great heat source but space heaters are not always safe to use.

Space heaters can cause so much damage this time of year. When temperatures drop and everyone wants to stay warm this is when things can go very wrong for the homeowners.

By taking correct precautions you could prevent damage to your property. Please use the following tips to ensure your safety.

Do not use an extension cord on the heater. Plug heater directly into wall .

Do not place space heater near upholstery items or rugs.

Do not leave space heaters running when you leave your home.

Do not use old space heaters .

Do not use space heaters if there is a frayed cord.

Unplug immediately if the space heater cord feels hot to the touch.

If you notice a burning smell unplug space heater promptly.
